Files can be uploaded as a part of the editing process and automatically linked to an associated database record making it easy to attach additonal information to a document.
An example of this might be the creation of a simple document management application that allowed keywords to be stored in the database which are linked to and uploaded file. This would allow the file to be found quickly based on a keyword database search.
